Your children's health is important to us. As a parent, you can't always predict when your child will get ill or need special care. Often, kids get sick at inconvenient times.

Please call us when you think your child is experiencing some distress. Our medical staff can assess the need for an urgent sick visit and either give you advice or an appointment. We always try to see urgent sick visits on the same day you call.

If you are unable to keep any type of appointment, please call in advance to cancel so we can offer that time to another patient who might be sick and need our help. If you are unable to arrive on time, please call the office as soon as possible so we may evaluate the schedule and reschedule if necessary.

Urgent Care and Emergency Service

When you call our main number after hours at (203) 469-8882, our answering service will carefully note the details and phone number you provide and will immediately contact East Haven Pediatrics personnel for you. One of our practitioners is always available by pager for emergencies whenever the office is closed, and we pride ourselves on returning your call as quickly as possible. Please do not attempt to contact your physician directly, as this will likely delay the callback and prevent you from being able to get the medical advice or help your child needs in a timely fashion.

In the event we direct you to take your child to the Emergency Department, we will send you to the Yale-New Haven Children's Hospital for the best local pediatric care.
